Big Tech’s Censorship of Conservative Voices and the Second American Civil War

America is a divided nation. As Dilbert creator Scott Adams recently stated, “Americans are watching two different movies.” This division is manifesting in a number of ways as detailed by Forward Observer. It can be argued that we are already in a sort of soft civil war. Why is this happening? Do American’s really have such great differences in values that we should march toward war? Or are we being manipulated toward war, with complicity of Big Tech elites?

Freedom of Speech used to be core to the American ethos of Liberty. So why is the Left suddenly happy to censor political voices on social media? Because they’re losing, and they’re being pressured to do so by global political and corporate powers.

In recent days, Big Tech companies have purged conservative voices from social media including Alex Jones and Gavin McInnes. As Joshua Cooper Ramo, the co-CEO of Kissinger Associates, openly discusses in this podcast, changes in technology have empowered people politically. He says that these changes are what led to Donald Trump being elected. Mr. Cooper Ramo goes on further to say that neither Big Tech elites nor our elected officials are intellectually equipped to appreciate these changes. He further implies that social media platforms need to be controlled, in order that political powers be controlled.

Mr. Cooper Ramo’s whole point is that Trump’s election was not desirable, that it was the result of the uninformed out of control masses, and that the masses need to be corralled back inside their political fences. Bear in mind, this is a man who participates in some of the world’s most high powered political meetings as a representative of Kissinger Associates. Kissinger Associates’ founder, Henry Kissinger, is a mainstay at Bilderberg meetings. Interestingly, one of the topics of the 2017 Bilderberg meeting was “Why is populism growing.” The growth of populism was again one of the topics of the 2018 Bilderberg meeting. The answer: Populism is growing because people are using technology to voice opinions that don’t align with the globalist agenda.

All of this has to do with controlling the political narrative on social media to sway elections just enough to alter the fate of our country. Alex Jones, often cited by mainstream media sources as a “popular conspiracy theorist,” was instrumental in helping Donald Trump get elected. He frequently has Roger Stone on his show, the man credited with suggesting to Donald Trump that he should run for president in the first place. Stone is also currently at the center of Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. Mainstream media has been running a massive smear campaign against Alex Jones. Jones has massive political influence – which is the reason he has been targeted and de-platformed from Facebook, Youtube and Instagram.

Similarly, Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes was recently kicked off Twitter. While it’s unclear as to exactly what policy he violated, his group, the Proud Boys, has also been targeted by mainstream media and the Left. The SPLC, a Leftist propaganda machine, designated the Proud Boys as a “general hate” group because of its proclivity toward violence. The thing is, the Proud Boys only become violent in self defense after being attacked. They received a lot of attention when Proud Boy Rufio Panman delivered the “Punch Heard Round the World.” Was it violent? Yes. Was it justified? Absolutely.

Antifa preemptively physically attack groups they disagree with, such as Patriot Prayer and the Proud Boys. Yet they still have a presence on Twitter. So why is it that Gavin was booted from Twitter? It has nothing to do with violence and everything to do with his political views and the growing popularity of the Proud Boys.

The Left is being told that people like Jones and McInnes are literally Hitler, thus placing a seemingly moral obligation on the Left to censor them. Alex Jones and Gavin McInnes may be offensive. They may be politically incorrect. However, they are not hateful and they certainly aren’t the modern day incarnation of Hitler. But because American’s have succeeded in electing an outsider in Donald Trump, because they are effective, these men are targeted, dehumanized, demonized and de-platformed.

The great American writer Mark Twain once said, “Censorship is telling a man he can’t have a steak just because a baby can’t chew it.”  Today’s Left are the babies of Twain’s analogy. As American’s, we are now faced with political censorship on the world’s largest online communication platforms, something unthinkable only a few years ago. This should terrify every freedom loving American, regardless of political affiliation. Sadly, the Left is willing to sacrifice our rights to gain ground in the Second American Civil War.

Prepared Citizen: Intruder Breaks into Baby’s Room, Mother Shoots Intruder

April 4, 2017 | Mark Ashford, |

Just like a momma bear defending her bear cubs, this mother wasn’t about to let her baby or herself become victim to a criminal intruder.

According to the The Indy Channel on March 24, 2016, a woman heard someone breaking in through a window in her baby’s room in the middle of the day.  The woman quickly retrieved her gun and headed to the baby’s room.  When she entered the intruder raised his gun and fired twice at her, missing both times.  The woman fired back and hit the criminal multiple times.  He was later taken to the hospital in serious condition.

This is just one of countless examples where law abiding citizens use a firearm in defense of themselves and their loved ones.  You can read many more examples at the Armed Citizen.

Tactical Influencers 001: Greg Ellifritz

March 30, 2017 | Mark Ashford, |

Welcome to our first installment of “Tactical Influencers,” where we’ll be covering individuals in the tactical, shooting, self-defense and other related fields that we think you should add to your network of “influencers.”  In other words, you should follow what they’re up to.  For those of you that have been around for a while, these will likely be familiar names, but perhaps you haven’t thought of them in a while. Accept this as an opportunity to stay up to date on their work.  For those of you who are new to shooting sports or haven’t spent a lot of time studying self-defense – these posts are for you!

Whether you’re in law enforcement, the military or just a regular suburban dad with a desk job like me, you should endeavor to continually improve yourself and your preparedness – for anything that might happen.  I’m not saying we all need to know SWAT breaching tactics or how to clear rooms (Nor am I suggesting I’m the tactical expert that you should listen to – I am not).  However, situational awareness, having an escape plan, being prepared with a basic trauma medical kit and knowing how to use it, and being proficient with your carry weapon are examples where tactics can apply to anyone.

When we look to improve ourselves, particularly in the tactical space, we should seek out the best instructors with the best experience.  With this in mind, I’m happy to introduce you to Greg Ellifritz of Active Response Training.  Greg has been a police officer since 1995 and spent 13 years as the full time tactical training officer for his central Ohio agency (you can find his full bio here).  I’ve been following Greg for a couple of years now and am continually impressed with the volume of tactical content he puts out.  Greg is a tactician’s tactician, a real expert in his field who constantly strives to master his craft.  Every week, Greg publishes a “Weekend Knowledge Dump,” with commentary and links to dozens of articles and other media that the tactician would find beneficial.  Here’s last weeks installment: Weekend Knowledge Dump- March 24, 2017.

If you’re like me, you’re going to enjoy following what Greg is up to.  In addition to his work online, he offers live training classes including “Tactical First Aid and ‘System Collapse’ Medicine,” “Tactical Handgun Level 1,” “Groundfighting,” and more.  So check out his work online and get to some of his classes.  You’ll be better prepared and a better tactician for it.
