Intersectionality, it is the brain-child of a law professor and social theorist, and has been developed as a way to elevate in stature those who possess the most intersections of oppression within the defined system. Note that with only a couple exceptions, intersectionality relies on what you are or claim to be, not who you are. It is also important to note that it is rooted in Marxist feminist critical theory, and it is being used as a wedge in colleges to leverage Communistic sentiments in its adherents.
“intersectional theory asserts that people are often disadvantaged by multiple sources of oppression: their race, class, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, and other identity markers”
If you’re a white straight male, for instance, the rules of intersectionality do not apply, because you have 3 classes that are privileged, not oppressed. If you are a white gay male, you have 1 degree of intersectionality, because you are gay. If you are a white female lesbian, you have 2 degrees of intersectionality because you’re female and lesbian.
A black-Chinese, female, transgender, muslim midget has 6 degrees of intersectionality. What this means is that the higher you score, the more relevant you are in the system. That’s something to aspire to! Except that the lucky sperm club has almost everything to do with Intersectionality, and nothing to do with your talents or your character.
The lie is that Intersectionality elevates the oppressed out of racism, when in fact it is a racist concept that plunges the adherents deep into racism, as it is the foundation of its principles.
The fact is that denying a white man station in society because he is white is racism, and elevating a black woman above others because she is black is racism. Preaching that race matters more than your character is in direct contradiction to the dream of Martin Luther King Jr. :
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
But alas, this is not to be in an Intersectional world – what you are is of key importance, it defines your rights, it defines your voice, it defines whether or not you are to be rejected or accepted. Intersrectionality assumes the worst of society and attempts to correct these perceived injustices by enacting them on those who don’t look like you.
Welcome to the Left’s idea of tolerant society…. and when you look in the mirror, you better be at least black … and a female …. and gay, if you want to be accepted for who you are.
